The government is the only thing we all belong to… but it dare not ask us for ID before we vote.

— jimgeraghty (@jimgeraghty) September 4, 2012

We all belong to government per the DNC? And here I thought what Republicans said were code words for bringing back slavery. Or something.

"Government is the only thing we all belong to." – DNC speaker #SleepTightAmerica

Two campaigns, two visions, two leitmotifs:

Clint Eastwood: "We own this country" DNC: "We belong to the government". OMG.

— Aslan's Girl (@Aslans_Girl) September 4, 2012

Dems say we belong to the government. Clint Eastwood says the government belongs to us.

— Erick Erickson (@EWErickson) September 4, 2012

One drooling Julia(n) didn’t agree with Romney and just couldn’t understand what all the fuss was about:

@MittRomney: We don't belong to government, the government belongs to us.” It's not about ownership. It's about being a collective society

— Rob Dobbs (@RobbDobbs) September 4, 2012

If he’s looking for a collective society, we’d be happy to recommend some for him. Meanwhile, we’ll stick with a society made up of individuals free to take ownership of themselves, thanks.
